Raised in the medieval city of Canterbury, in Southeast England, I developed a life-long love of history.

I later gained my LLB Law Degree at Oxford University, UK. But after working on a few court cases, I found myself drawn back to filmmaking, which I enjoyed at college.

For the last 20 years, I have worked in Television and film across the world, from The Arctic to Italy. Since 2006 I have been based in New York, where I have pitched, researched, scripted, cast, filmed, Post produced, archive sourced, strung out - essentially taking a production from idea to Picture Lock. I have also spent years directing recreations.

For ‘Mysteries At The Museum’ I directed at least 12 different historical tales every week, sourcing props, costumes and locations. Nothing was considered impossible, so I regularly find creative ways to depict plane crashes, journeys into space, war field battles and shipwrecks.

My need to discover and tell stories in the most visually striking and memorable way possible ultimately led me to find, and interview people from all perspectives on life. From politicians to murderers, from homeless teenagers to celebrities. It has become one of my deepest privileges to bring light to their incredible lives.

I think and dream big, but I always work within budget and time scale to create arresting imagery, which can tell a story in one glance. I hope my work speaks for itself. Please take a look at my links and photos.
